Just a minute, a short introduction about myself and answering the question that you probably asking yourself: "Who the heck is Bryan Dranston, dog whisperer, anyway?

 

I'm actually a pretty ordinary guy, who came to a point where I wanted to master "dealing with dogs".

Sometimes, paralysis made me angry. Sometimes, days on, I walked around desperately, unsure whether I had made the right decision to buy Amber. Mostly I felt misunderstood. Sometimes just silly.

 

The real "breakthrough" only came when I began to meet dog owners at obedience and agility competitions who had a NATURAL (= dog whisperers) feeling in dealing with their dog.

 

 

I'm talking about dog owners who not only unraveled for themselves how their dog, also shelter and neglected dogs, needed to be handled. But knew how to win games in agility and obedience.

 

As I started to learn from these masters, it struck me that they did certain things and communicated in specific ways with their dog that REALLY went against everything I knew about raising a dog.

 

Sometimes they teased the dog ... the dog responded by giving, even more, enthusiastic attention and waited with even more impatience, the next command.

 

Or they ignored the dog entirely, minutes on end, and sometimes they walked in the other direction ... and the dog ended up at their feet, begging for attention, awaiting a command.

 

 

 

The more I saw things that "made no sense whatsoever" and truly WORKED with these dogs, the more I began to think that maybe I was about to discover something great.
